The Honorable Adrianne R. Todman is a nationally recognized leader in housing and community development, known for her dynamic leadership and steadfast commitment to creating resilient communities. She served as both Acting Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, during the Biden Administration, playing a critical role in advancing housing solutions across the country.  She currently serves as the President and CEO of the National Rental Home Council. She is also a Board Member of Habitat for Humanity International and serves on the Housing Advisory Committee of the highly respected Bipartisan Policy Center.  

Prior to her tenure at HUD, Secretary Todman was the Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials—the nation’s largest organization dedicated to affordable housing and community development professionals. 

Throughout her distinguished career, Secretary Todman has championed initiatives that foster thriving neighborhoods. In Washington, D.C., her leadership can be seen in the development of thousands of affordable homes, as well as education and civic centers.  A dynamic speaker and servant leader, she has been honored as a “Woman of Influence” by HousingWire and recognized by numerous organizations, including the DC Building Industry Association, the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, the Urban Land Institute, and the Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital, among many others who have applauded her unwavering dedication to people, places, and impactful outcomes.   She is a proud alumna of Smith College.
